Description - A Way Of Life Like Any Other by Darcy O'Brien
The hero of Darcy O'Brien's novel is a child of Hollywood. His divorced parents are faded stars of the silver screen- the father almost helplessly na ve, the mother sex-crazed and despairing of love. The tale of a streetsmart, loving, vulnerable teenager's fight to break free is a hilarious and devastating story of growing up - a latter day The Catcher in the Rye.
