Description - Bill Barrett, the Evolution of a Sculptor by Philip F. Palmedo
This text explores many of Barrett's themes, such as the arch, the bridge, the standing human figure and the calligraphic gesture, all of which reappear with ever-new meanings throughout the artist's career. It argues that Barrett's recent work communicates pure movement, inspired by music and dance. This text and reproductions also explores the kinship of Barrett's paintings and drawings to his three-dimensional work.
