This is a lavish portfolio of the works of impressionist Colin Campbell Cooper. Colin Campbell Cooper's (1858-1937) life was defined by two very distinct periods: the first was his education and maturation as an East Coast artist, the second came with his relocation to the West Coast of America. During his early career on the East Coast, Cooper found himself inspired by the New York's modern architecture, specifically the skyscrapers that were transforming the city's skyline. With his relocation to the West Coast in 1921, he became fascinated by the unique architecture, and its mix of American, Spanish, and Mexican influences. Whether painting the East or West Coasts, Cooper was celebrated as a significant Impressionist artist who never failed to capture the spirit of his surroundings.
