Author Biography - Sheri L. Johnson

Sheri L. Johnson, PhD, is Associate Professor of Psychology and Psychiatry at the University of Miami. Over the past decade, she has conducted research on psychosocial facets of bipolar disorder. Her work has been funded by the National Alliance for Research on Schizophrenia and Depression and by the National Institute of Mental Health, and her findings have been published in a number of journals, including the Journal of Abnormal Psychology and the American Journal of Psychiatry. Robert L. Leahy, PhD, is President of the International Association for Cognitive Psychotherapy, Founder and Director of the American Institute for Cognitive Therapy in New York City, and Professor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill-Cornell University Medical School. He is the author or editor of many publications, including Overcoming Resistance in Cognitive Therapy, Treatment Plans and Interventions for Depression and Anxiety Disorders (with Stephen J. Holland), Cognitive Therapy Techniques, and Roadblocks in Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy.
