Author Biography - Sue Quinn

Australian-born Sue Quinn is a full-time cookery writer and journalist. She was strongly influenced by the cooking of the Italian, Greek, Lebanese and other migrant communities of multi-cultural Sydney, where she was born and raised. A former national newspaper journalist and foreign correspondent, she has also drawn on her extensive travels to write numerous cookery books. Her most recent title, Easy Vegan, will be published in ANZ in February 2015 and in the UK in March 2015 by Murdoch Books. Previous titles include The Kids Only Cook Book (2013 Quadrille), 10 Minute Cooking (2013, Hachette), Crackers (2013 Hachette), Easy Japanese Cooking (2012 Hachette), Easy Spanish Cooking (2011 Hachette). She has completed three further healthy cookery titles for Hachette, to be published soon, covering salads, sugar-free cooking and super foods. When not writing cook books, Sue contributes regularly to the Guardian, The Telegraph and Delicious Magazine, including recipes and articles about food trends, ingredients and producers. She will soon start as a regular columnist for the Bournemouth Echo (UK newspaper), writing recipes that celebrate seasonal, locally produced ingredients. She has written her popular cookery blog, Pen and Spoon, since 2012 (2,500 page views per month) and is a keen Twitter user (1200 followers). Sue lives by the sea in Dorset with her husband and two children, who all share her love of making the most of the area's glorious fresh produce. She visits Australia every 18 months, to see family and friends.
