Book Review: Mammoth Pie by Jeanne Willis - Reviewed by Sheepcoate (12 Jul 2013)
Mammoth Pie is a fun children's book with a clever plot and even more clever rhyming structure.
The story is set back in caveman time where caveman and wholly mammoth's ruled the land. Caveman were tired of eating seeds and weeds and they wanted to eat meat, so they devised a clever plan to capture the mammoth. The story, the ending were all clever and well crafted and extremely amusing, even right down to the names of the caveman.
The illustrations really captured the essence of the story, they were detailed, fun and colorful. A recommended read for any child.
