Patterson reassesses the basic premise that guided electricity for more than a century in light of new understanding, pressures, and opportunities. He investigates the changes in progress, those that may follow, and their implications for policy. As the world pursues sustainable development, what might 'sustainable electricity' mean, and how can it be achieved? *Not available through Brookings in UK/Europe.
