Description - Solid/Liquid Separation by Stephen Tarleton
This book collects together the test procedures used in different sectors of the solid/ liquid separation equipment industry, identifies the types of tests carried out and what might typically be done with the resulting data when faced with a new application to assess. The procedures described are based on established methods which are determined by industrial practice. The book has a strong practical emphasis and is intended to act as a reference text for engineers concerned with applications evaluation of equipment or its scale-up. The last book on this topic (Solid/ Liquid Separation Equipment Scale-up: Eds D B Purchas & R. J Wakeman) was published in 1986 and has been out of print for many years. The new book covers many considerations not in the 1986 book, such as the integration of plant onto a flow-sheet, ancillary equipment and identification of frequently-encountered problems.
