Hilary thoroughly enjoys sewing and experimenting with fabric and has been making bags for several years. She also has long-standing interests in jewellery-making and woodturning, and has written two previous books for GMC Publications, which have been highly successful: Woodturning Jewellery (1995) and Decorative Techniques for Woodturners (1996). She lives in Hampshire.
