Description - Light of Falling Stars by J. Robert Lennon
A plane falls from the sky as a couple argue in their backyard; the noise of its engines drowning out their voices, part of the aircraft shearing through the roof of their house. A few miles away in the airport a young man keenly awaits the arrival of his girlfriend, while in an empty house an old woman nervously anticipates the reappearance of a husband who left her many years before. The Light of Falling Stars looks at the lives of the people living in a small American town in the aftermath of a tragic plane crash. As they struggle to re-establish themselves in the weeks following the crash, each undergoes a transformation some for better, others for the worse. This is a novel which portrays its characters and the small details of ordinary lives and relationships with warmth and precision.
