Author Biography - Joan Beaumont
Joan Beaumont is the director of the faculty of arts at the College of Arts and Social Sciences at the Australian National University, the author of "Gull Force: Survival and Leadership in Captivity, 1941-1945," and the editor of "Australian Defence: Sources and Statistics." Mathew Trinca is the general manager of collections and content at the National Museum of Australia. Ilma Martinuzzi O'Brien is an honorary research associate in the School of Historical and European Studies at La Trobe University and an adjunct associate professor at Victoria University.
