A socially committed Arab photographer, Sheikh Hassan Al Thani is a tireless explorer of the history of southern Arabia. He does not see Yemen through the eyes of a naive tourist, but as an artist seeking to capture its emotional charge. A curious observer who is well acquainted with his subject, he photographs the footprints of this civilisation of writing, the roads of incense and coffee, the columns of the temple of the Queen of Sheba, the ruins of the Mocha tower, oases, arid expanses, and palm trees, all while pondering the country's future.
