Author Biography - Barbara Taylor

Charles Phillips is an established writer of popular history. He was a contributor to Cassell's Dictionary of Modern Britain and Ancient Civilizations; and illustrated histories for Dorling Kindersley, Guinness and Marshall Editions. Richard G. Wilson FRHistS, consultant, is Emeritus Professor of History at the University of East Anglia. His works include (with Alan Mackley) Creating Paradise: The Building of the English Country House, 1660-1880 (Hambledon).
