This is the autobiography of the author, Adeline Yen Mah, who wrote the book, "falling Leaves". Adeline's life was conflicted as her siblings all believed she was the bad luck charm as her birth was their mothers' death. So through her life, she struggled to keep up with her life. Her father then married a French beauty who treated Adeline as a undeserving child and always scolded her. This book is about how Adeline Yen Mah overcame the odds, and became a successful and knowledgeable person. The themes incorporated are loss, and family relationship problems. All her thoughts and beliefs are portrayed in this book.


Author Biography - Adeline Yen Mah

Adeline Yen Mah lives in California after growing up in Tianjin and Shanghai, in China, Hong Kong and England. She studied medicine but gave up her career as a physician to become a full-time writer. After the death of her stepmother, she felt compelled to write her story and the result, FALLING LEAVES, has become an international best-seller.
