Book Review: Corfu Trilogy by Gerald Durrell - Reviewed by Romi Foster (30 Jun 2011)
The Corfu Trilogy is possibly the most amazing book in the world. It not only combines the amazingness and teriffically funny adventures of My Family And Other Animals, the first in the series by Gerald Durrell, but it includes Birds, Beasts and Other Animals and Garden of The Gods, the third and only book in the series that is quite hard to otherwise aqquire.
In each seperate novel in the trilogy Mr Durrell uses the most amazing of wit but also such a wonderful truthfulness that is so pointedly ...true... and funny that you can't help but snort at the antics of him and his family, even if you are not one to show emotion over novels, this will surely be the exception.
With names like Widdle and Puke, Quasimodo and a family with rages and lovers following them all over the island, this is not one to miss.
*Note- My Family and other Animals is five hundred times more amazing and awesome than this review.

Over his lifetime he wrote 37 books, went on dozens of animal-collecting trips and presented numerous TV shows. He founded Jersey Zoo in 1959 as a centre for the conservation of endangered species, and created the Jersey Wildlife Conservation Trust in 1963.
