Description - Djinn, Vol. 1 by Jean Dufaux

Kim Nelson has heard the legend of Jade, a powerful djinn, a spirit with the ability to seduce any human heart-but Kim isn't interested in legends. She's just looking for her grandmother.

Fifty years ago, Jade served the Black Sultan as part of the Imperial Harem, but Jade was no ordinary harem girl-she was the sultan's favorite. Rumored to be a djinn from the Ottoman Empire, she had the power to manipulate men's hearts, subtly alter their convictions, and even affect the course of an entire war. The legends also say that Jade, and Jade alone, knew where the Black Sultan hid his treasure . . . a treasure that no one has ever managed to unearth.

Now, fifty years later, Kim Nelson is reliving the life of her ancestor Jade in modern Istanbul, hoping to find answers that have been lost to history. It will be a long journey, a journey that will change her life forever.

Author Biography - Jean Dufaux

Jean Dufaux has always told stories that blend both words and images in perfect harmony. Initially attracted by cinema, he studied film production at the Institut des Arts et Diffusion in Brussels. But words remained such an important part of his life that he became a journalist, playwright, and novelist before once and for all embracing his true calling as a comic book author. Over his career, he has produced a massive body of work, comprising some 200 titles. Ana Miralles, born in Madrid in 1959, started her comic book and illustration career in 1982, when she had her first story published in the Spanish magazine Rambla. She later went on to be published in the magazines Madriz, Cairo, Marca Acme, Blue Press, Marie-Claire Spain, Vogue Spain, and Je Bouquine. Her portfolio comprises a multitude of illustrated books, postcards, book and magazine covers, exhibitions, advertisements, silkscreen prints, and more.
