Description - Enhancing Teaching in Higher Education by Peter Hartley
This is an accessible source of information and practical ideas on a wide range of recent developments in teaching and learning. All the chapters have been written by experienced lecturers and/or leading contributors from staff and educational development in higher education. They explore the spectrum of teaching and learning, covering subjects which range from general teaching strategies to students' concept maps, from online learning to student project groups, and from working in a multicultural context to encouraging self-directed learning. This book represents a challenge for new and experienced lecturers in all subject areas who want to develop their teaching approaches and, crucially, apply these ideas in their everyday practice. It is an indispensable source of ideas that will be referred to again and again.
