Description - Ezquerra by Jose Luis Ezquerra
This unique book illustrates the "lejanista" style, an original form of architecture, planning and interior design that "provides a glimpse of the past and represents a surrealistic expression of sensations and distant cultural feelings, both Western and Eastern." Celebrated buildings include the fabled Las Hadas, Manzanillo, Mexico's seaside fantasy which changed the face of international resort architecture, and Maui's Hotel Kea Lani, inspired by a traditional Hawaiian architectural vernacular. Ezquerra's residential work is no less magical. From private Mexican villas to Saudi Arabian palaces and the Villas de Cartes and Villas Alabanas in Horseshoe Bay, Texas.
