Author Biography - Franz Boas
Franz Boas (1858-1942), geographer, linguist, physical anthropologist, and ethnologist, is considered the father of modern North American anthropology. Ethnographer and linguist Randy Bouchard and socio-cultural anthropologist Dorothy Kennedy are the co-directors of the British Columbia Indian Language Project.
