Book Review: Jennie by Paul Gallico - Reviewed by sudy01 (29 May 2011)
One of my favourite books, this is one I return to often. It is certainly a book written for those who love or are interested in cats and is a magical piece of fiction. I am unsure whether it is actually a book written for older children or for adults, but I have been reading it since my early to mid teens. It is a wonderful story of a boy who becomes a cat and has to learn all there is to the amazingly complex life of a stray cat in England in a time not that long past. As a cat lover myself I find the story very interesting and informative - who knows if cats really think or have conversations - but I certainly like to think that they do. An easy read this book makes you stop and look at a cat and its behaviour in a totally new light.
