Book Review: Jolly Pocket Postman by Allan Ahlberg - Reviewed by (31 Mar 2020)

The minute I read this book when I was babysitting some friend's kids, I knew I had to buy it for my own library. I thought about letting my students use it at school, but I decided to keep it for my own personal library, because young kids are not exactly known to be gentle with books, especially with interactive ones like this one. As soon as the book arrived, I had so much fun opening up all the letters to characters such as Cinderella or Goldilocks. I love this book so much, the interactive nature of it is so incredibly fun, and I know I would have loved it so much as a child. I can't wait to share it with my future children and I know they'll love it as much as I do. It's also great for teachers to teach letter writing and how the postal service works, or as a mentor text for a unit on letters/postcards and writing. Easily 5 stars, I would give it more if I could. I also recommend the Christmas and original versions too!
