Author Biography - Johannes Steinhoff
Johannes Steinhoff was one of the top Luftwaffe aces of World War II, downing 176 Allied aircraft and winning the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords. After the war, he held several top-level positions in the West German Air Force and NATO.
