Pride and Prejudice, things that so often make peoples lives the much more difficult. For Elizabeth Bennett's mother, the only thing in her sights is marrying off all her daughters to any rich, and possibly handsome into the bargain, men about. And when Netherfield Court is let to a very handsome and wealthy man by the name of Mr. Bingley, she isn't letting him go without a fight. And then comes Darcy, smouldering and handsome beyond thought, but very rude and careless with his manners.
The family are in for the ride of their life, especially the elder two Bennett sisters...
You can't know Pride and Prejudice without reading the book, and this copy is beautiful!
Author Biography - Jane Austen
Jane Austen was born in Steventon rectory on 16 December 1775. Her family later moved to Bath and then to Chawton in Hampshire. She began writing Pride and Prejudice when she was twenty-two years old. It was originally called First Impressions. It was initially rejected by publishers and only published in 1813 after much revision. All four of her novels published in her lifetime were published anonymously. Jane Austen died on 18 July 1817. Northanger Abbey and Persuasion were published posthumously.
