Description - The Scared Book by Debra Tidball
It's story time, but this book has bad news - as soon as it realises there are monsters in it, it's too scared to tell you the rest of the story! Can you help it feel better? It needs you to rub away its goosebumps, blow away the giant butterflies in its tummy, and fan away the yucky smell the monsters have left behind. A fun and quirky interactive story, with distinctive and stylish illustrations from an innovative young illustrator and muralist.

Book Review: Scared Book by Debra Tidball - Reviewed by StephMWard (11 Mar 2018)
This book has a story to tell, but it can't...there are monsters! Can you help scare them away?
In this clever interactive picture book, children help to rid the book of monsters by flicking, blowing and smudging them away. Finally, the book can tell its story. And it's all thanks to the reader!
It's a sheer delight to see young readers engage with the not-too-scary monsters in this story. They are eager to try each tactic and feel a sense of accomplishment as the monsters gradually go away. Picking a favorite monster was yet another fun activity too. There's so much to this multi-layered, wonderfully illustrated book.
It's a new favorite with our five year old and a unique reading experience that I love sharing with him.
