Book Review: Slap by Christos Tsiolkas - Reviewed by (26 Oct 2011)

I thorougly enjoyed this book. I love the Aussie storyline! The characters are all so well written you forget they arent friends you are reading about. You will feel frustration, sadness, joy and laughs with each turn of a page. It is an issue that really isnt talked about but you often think about in situations like this. Its one book you dont want to put down. I have only watched the first episode of this tv series but found they cast the actors really well to tie in with those in the book. So if you enjoy them on screen you are sure to enjoy sitting down with the book. As always the book tends to delve deeper into the emotions and the storylines so just seeing the tv series does not give you the whole picture. Overall a great book. I should also forewarn about the language content as this may offend some readers.
