Author Biography - Sian Rhiannon Williams

Carol White is a teacher of film and video production who has worked as a theater and television designer. She was a founding member of Red Flannel, a women's film and video workshop. She also worked with the television production company Teleisyn directing a variety of programs on contemporary social issues. Sian Rhiannon Williams worked as a teacher of history and a radio producer before becoming a senior lecturer in history education at the University of Wales Institute Cardiff. She is the author of "Oes y Byd i'r Iaith Gymraeg" and her other publications include various articles and chapters in books on the history of the Welsh language, industrial south Wales, education and aspects of Welsh women's history. She is a coeditor of the Gender Studies in Wales Series and the "Gwent County History."
