Author Biography - Christopher Moore

Christopher Moore is a former high-school physical science teacher and currently an associate professor of physics education. Dr. Moore leads two research groups, with one studying novel electronic device engineering and the other focusing on science education. His education research focuses on the development of scientific reasoning and science process skills. Dr. Moore is the recipient of a Fulbright Scholar grant to develop pre- and in-service teacher training on science process at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic. He has also worked with the Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla in Puebla, Mexico on teacher training workshops for Mexican physics teachers, as well as work as a consultant and workshop leader for the Prince Edward County Public Schools in Virginia. Dr. Moore is currently the principle investigator for a program funded by the National Science Foundation to develop and assess course materials that develop reasoning and process skills.
