I have read this book more than enough times. As well as the others in the series. Great writing, great imagination and great for teens and twenties. A book about a group of friends who go camping and the country gets invaded! They come out to fight to hope and to be devestated.

You will fall in step with the characters and will find yourself in at least one of them. John marsden certainly pulls you in for the next book and the movie if you have seen it is definately not as good as the book. So if you liked the movie: READ the book.

Book Review: Tomorrow, When the War Began by John Marsden - Reviewed by (06 Jan 2011)

For a book aimed at young people, this story has enough suspense and realistic emotions to appeal to older readers as well. The gutsy efforts by the teenagers in the central roles draw you into their battle. Great fun and some lessons in the storyline as well but readers aren't hit over the head with a sledgehammer by the 'moral of the story'. John Marsden is clever enough to give his readers credit for having the intelligence to figure the message out for themselves.
