Book Review: Where is The Green Sheep? by Mem Fox - Reviewed by AllisonBB (09 Mar 2010)
This book is fantastic for little ones. Our 18mth old daughter loves this title and requests it to be read numerous times everyday. She loves the simple, fun, rhythmic and repetative text. The colourful and clear pictures bring her joy and discovery every time we turn the page. The book has helped to develop her recognition of colours, words, actions and rhyme. Her speech development is improving and advancing daily. I love watching her face light up as we turn each page, her anticipation as we get to each of her favourtie pages, the actions we have developed for various sheep and the way she recognises new items on each page then points them out with a beam on her face as if to say look mummy...it's a...? We have even bought a copy for daycare and during group story time all the kids love it.
