Description - William the Wallaby Who Couldn't Jump by Paul Ashford Harris
William is a very clever young wallaby.? He can do his six times tables, knows his ABC and even knows the names of Australia's longest rivers. He knows what food is good to eat and what food is bad for him, and he knows never to argue with snakes. But William can't jump. A beautifully illustrated, educational children's book about our Australian wildlife and the importance of environmental protection. SUPPORTED BY THE AUSTRALIAN WILDLIFE CONSERVANCY Wallabies in national parks have declined by over 80 per cent in the last 10 years to just a few hundred individuals and their future is precarious ... but there is hope! At Scotia Wildlife Sanctuary in outback NSW, Australian Wildlife Conservancy (AWC), a non-profit organisation dedicated to saving Australia's threatened wildlife, has established the largest cat and fox-free area on mainland Australia.
