Book Review: Wizard of Oz by L. Frank Baum - Reviewed by (26 Nov 2011)

The wizard of Oz is a strangely odd book, very different from the sort of thing published when it was first released and even now, quite unlike other books around. At times it is a little graphic and maybe even horrifying, with the death of the whitch, wolves which the tinman chopped (yes, chopped) and numerous other ugly and not too nice to read about deaths. But maybe because it was so vastly different, so unlike other books, and how it has thus stayed like that, because maybe no one can write anything quite as strange and marvalous in it's oddness as this book, maybe that's why it was so loved, because it is unusual... out of the ordaniary! And bought to life in this amazing edition!
